take me back to childhood

My co-worker Emily just purchased a bunch of childrens books for her friends upcoming baby shower. As soon as they arrived at the office we took the books out and flipped through some of the old classics. It's funny how nostalgic we became as we recognized many of these stories and pictures. These books were engaging and amusing enough to have held my attention as a child, and are still engaging and amusing enough to hold my attention as an adult. That right there really shows how wonderful some of the children's authors of the 80's and 90's were in their day.

Someday when I have kids I hope to read them the same timeless books over again. They'll always hold a place in my heart!
